The St. John Bosco Catholic Women's League signed its charter as an official League council in this parish in January 2009.
The Mission of the Catholic Women’s League (C.W.L.) of Canada is to call its members to grow in faith and to witness to the love of God through ministry and service.
The Core Purpose of the C.W.L. is to unite Catholic women to grow in faith and to promote social justice through service to the church, Canada, and the world.
The Core Values that members of the League endeavour to follow are:
FAITH – to follow the Catholic teachings
SERVICE – at the local, provincial, national and international levels
SOCIAL JUSTICE – to be actively involved in society.
Our members usually meet eight (8) times per year on the 3rd Tuesday of the month in the Atrium at St. John Bosco Parish in Brockville, ON.
We often have a more social event in June and December. Please check the bulletin for any potential changes.
Our Patroness is Our Lady of Good Counsel.
We believe that women play a vital role in church and society.
We believe in Catholic education and affordable health services.
We believe in the power of prayer.

The Prayer to Our Lady of Good Counsel
Mary, our Lady of Good Counsel: filled with the Holy Spirit, you were a faithful disciple of Jesus, your Son. Intercede with your Son for us that we may be faithful to our baptism, fervent in prayer, and generous in the service we give to our sisters and brothers. May the spirit of the living God, who graced you with the gift of counsel, lead us in the way of truth and love. With the help of your prayers, may we come to rejoice forever with you and the great company of saints in the kingdom of heaven. Amen.

Catholic Women's League members contribute to our parish and community through educational bursaries, family assistance, the local Food Bank, Loaves and Fishes, and other charities.
We enjoy raising funds with our Christmas Bake Sale, our annual Craft Fair, and the not to be missed Plant Sale in the spring. We also cater for parish events.
Many of our ladies are busy volunteers in our community for the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Palliative Care, Loaves and Fishes, and other community organizations.
Membership benefits include The Canadian League magazine (3X per year) and an invitation to live Christian values in service to our Church, community, and country while making the best use of our time and talents.
Ladies, please consider joining us for lively conversation, like-minded company, and lots of laughter. We even may learn a few things from each other throughout the course of a meeting.
